Toasty aroma, spicy floral notes.
A traditional style Tieguanyin oolong – medium oxidized made with large rolled leaves that will open to offer a tasty and almost spicy flavor. Perhaps more commonly known as "Iron Goddess", this oolong offers a heady, floral aroma. It is grown in the AnXi area of Fujian Province.
The leaves are large and rolled with shades of green turning to rich brown tones the result of its oxidization process. Offers all the notes and flavors we look for in a traditional style Tieguanyin.
This oolong is harvested about 4-6 weeks after the first greens and white teas of spring have been plucked in Fujian Province. It is grown along the coast in the mountains of the AnXi area near Xiamen. The tea's nuanced tastes are created in a multi-step, hours-long, process of semi-oxidizing the leaves. It is made in the traditional style - thus more oxidization of the leaf - as this was long the preferred style in China.
Offers a full-mouth flavor that is toasty with some spicy and stone fruit notes. Steeped, its leaves open to deep green coloration and its flavors will open by the 2nd steep and provide a wonderful floral aroma and herbal sweetness with a lingering aftertaste. The liquor is rich light-yellow and clear. This tea is rich and it will satisfy.
