This EO is antiseptic, diuretic, expectorant, insecticide and laxative.
Its main qualities are warming and drying. Sweet fennel EO is an
excellent body cleanser, may rid the system of toxins from alcohol and
excessive eating, great for hangovers. It may be used for the treatment
of cellulite when accumulations of toxic wastes and fluids in the
subcutaneous fat produce a characteristic wrinkled appearance. Its
aroma is sweet, licorice/aniseseed-like.
It’s also said to regulate menstrual cycles and is used for the lungs as
an antispasmodic and expectorant. May be used in cold conditions and
bronchitis. Tonic to the digestion. Good for vomiting and colic.
Antispasmodic, relieves colic, constipation and gas. Decreases appetite.
Should be avoided by pregnant and lactating women, persons with
endometriosis and epilepsy.
Blends well with lavender, lemon, rose, and
sandalwood.

Product Abstract: Also known as Common Fennel,
Fennel is an erect growing perennial herb native to southern Europe and
the Mediterranean area. Reaching a height of 1.5 meters (approximately
4.5 feet), the plant has yellow flowers. Bitter Fennel was known as fenkle in the Middle Ages, from the Latin foenum meaning 'hay'. The ancients believed it gave one longevity, courage and strength, as well as warded off evil spirits.

properties and exposure to the sun must be avoided after application to
